In 1990, Mongolia entered a new phase of its history broadening its relationship with foreign countries. Since that time the number of people who are interested in Mongolian history, culture and language has been increasing. Realizing this need, a group of experienced teachers joined together to address this challenge and in 1995, Bridge was founded. It is the first private Institute in Mongolia to offer Mongolian study programs to foreigners.

The first director of Bridge was its founding member L. Tserenchunt (1995-2004). Ts. Tserenchimeg worked as the director from 2004-2008 and I am working on this position since 2008 until present. Over these years we have been working hard at developing Mongolian language and culture study programs to meet the specific needs of our students. A series of Mongolian language textbooks were written by L. Tserenchunt of Bridge Institute and a language methodologist Sharon Luethy, which are being used as the main textbook by Bridge and a number of prestigious universities and institutes all over the world including Indiana University in the USA and Leed's University in England.

Bridge has a well qualified faculty of over 20 teachers who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and committed to helping students succeed. Over the last fifteen years, we have served over 2000 students from more than 30 countries.
